In the app, Settings → Contact us opens an email that already includes your app version. We reply as soon as we can.
Common questions
Does Anchor take my money?
No. Money never passes through Anchor — the app only keeps score. A missed task adds its penalty to the challenge's jar; you set the money aside or settle up with friends however you like, then record the payment in the app.
I forgot my password
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and enter your email — we'll send a link to set a new one. If you signed up with Apple or Google, your account has no password: just sign in with the same button again.
How do I join a friend's challenge?
Open the invite link your friend sent. If it doesn't open the app, go to Challenges → I have an invite code and paste the whole invite message or just the code. Each invite works once and expires after 7 days — if yours doesn't work, ask for a new one.
How do I turn off notifications?
In Settings → Notifications, turn off Unfinished tasks or Friends' updates separately. To turn off all Anchor notifications, use your device settings.
How do I manage or cancel Anchor Pro?
Subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple or Google, not by us. In Anchor, open Settings → Plan → Manage subscription. On iPhone you can also go to the Settings app → your name → Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
I paid, but Pro isn't active
Open Settings → Plan and tap Restore purchases while signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you paid with. This also works on a new phone. If you restore on a different Anchor account, Pro moves to the account you're signed in to.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings, tap your profile, then ⋯ → Delete account in the top right. Before that, settle any debt in shared challenges and hand over ownership of shared challenges you own — the app will tell you if anything is left. Deleting your account doesn't cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription, so cancel it separately. What happens to your data is described in the Privacy Policy.
